Write a High-Catching Tile For Your Article

Writing a high-catching title is no easy task even for the seasoned professional writer.  However, it is none the less crucial to drawing traffic to your website.  As someone looks through the results of any search engine search, while there is information about that page, the first thing anyone does is looks at the title.

A badly written title no matter how good the information is will be often over-looked. It is the high-catching title that get the most attention. Titles which control the reader are the only way to go.  If you were looking up a particular product and you saw the words, “SCAM”, “DON’T” or “STOP”, you are immediately drawn to these as the appear to be urgent and these words will play on one’s fears or doubts.  At this time we suggest to avoid the word SCAM becouse it is misused and it’ll not give you any benefit.

At the same time, a visitor to your website wants to get the most relevant information possible, with the least amount of work.  This is why “Top 5”, “Top 10” or “Top 100” titles have been proven to work consistently.  However, it is very important to point out that in using one of these titles  you have to include the entire list.  If a visitor clicks on your link through the search engines because yours states the “Top 100”, only to arrive and find a partial list, well then the chances of them continuing on to read the remainder of the list, or even return to your website again will reduce.

Your visitors have expectations and when they arrive to your site to find those expectations unmet, then it is no better then having an awful title. Start with the article or post first, then after it has been completed do you come up with a high-catching title for it. The title needs to match the information, but also needs to show some form of urgency or be considered highly informative.
