If you are wondering how to use anchor text in the about author box properly, then there are some things you need to know.

For starters, you should never have more then 2 links in the author box period. Anything more then that will drastically affect the whole point of using articles in the first place.

The best way to get the most conversions is to have 1 link which points directly to the website you are trying to promote.

The second link should be to a small, yet free e-book which requires no sign-up to access. This is important because even if you attempt to pre sell using the author box, the reader may still not be totally interested. This small e-book should be more of an in-depth brochure of the product or service that is developed to answer any questions they may have. You can use this second link to pointing to an internal page where the reader can find some useful information about your service or product.

The links themselves need anchor text so as to qualify your webpage for that particular keyword or phrase. Call the anchor text the title of the link. This is how the link will appear with its title visible, yet clickable. Using anchor text for the links in the about author box is crucial to ensuring that all of your hard work in article marketing is not done in vain.

In the end, it is the finer details of your account which will play a vital role as to whether or not the reader can be converted. It needs to be short and to the point. It also needs to contain the necessary information that the reader needs to convert. Most of all though, it needs to be clean which is why you need to use anchor text rather then the HTTP address for any links in the author box; it is also more professional to use the anchor text.

When it comes to article marketing, and after we have understood to writ a high catching title, another most important aspects of your articles will be the author box. So the real question one should be asking themselves is how and why write a catching author box. In order to answer this question, we need to separate the how and why.

Beginning with the why, we can take a look at what is considered to be marketing and sales. A catchy author box allows you to pre sell. It does not get any simpler then that. You want top quality visitors to your website and you want them to convert. The author box gives you that opportunity to weed out the window shoppers and pre sell to the visitors who will make you money.

Now that we know why writing a catchy author box is so important, we can take a look at how this is done. Remember, the article is your chance at being honest about the product, service or website. People love honesty and even if the product is not all that good, pointing out its bad points in the article will not affect the legitimate sales, but rather prevent people from making a mistake of purchasing the wrong product or service; they will thank you for that.

After reading the article, it is time to pre sell the reader and this is where the author box comes into play. Do not be ego-centristic and talk about yourself and the hundreds of thousands of things you have accomplished in life unless you plan on boring people to death. Use the space to ask for the sale and/or for action. This is the spot where you are straight-forward and to the point. If the reader loves the article and loves the author box, then your conversion rate will skyrocket.

One of the most important places where one needs to make use of keywords is in the middle of the content. However, the concept of how to use keywords in the body text is too often over looked or in many cases, over-exaggerated.

As a general rule of thumb, you should never have more then a 1% density of the keywords so it’ll be a natural appearance. If you were to write an article “optimized” for the search engines and then rewrite it without thinking about placement of the keywords, then you will end up with roughly 1% keyword density.

If you plan on using these keywords for SEO purpose, then you have to let the spiders know this. You have to make the key words or phrase bold. This added emphasis will let the spiders know that the words contained between the HTML tags are of great importance to the surrounding text. But this still does not answer how to place keywords in the body text.

The easiest explanation with regards to how to place keywords in body text comes down to how that information is shown on the search engine results. If the words are placed at the beginning or end of a sentence, then the search engines show this. What they do not show in most cases is the entire sentence. However, when the keywords are placed in the center of the sentence, more of the sentence is visible in the results and allows the searcher to select your over anyone else’s if it “clicks” as being similar to what they are seeking.

Most importantly though, is the simple fact that the searchers are not computers and have to see the information in its natural form to be understood. When you focus on placing the keywords in a particular location, you are not writing in a natural fashion. Write naturally so that what you write is understandable even as a snippet in the search engine results.

For my experience the best way to get more bemefits from article marketing is to write in a natural way placing the main keyword one time in the first paragraph, one time in the middle of the article text and one time in the last paragraph. Then you can bold them in order to obtain more attention by the readers and search engines. You can also use a secondary keyword in the same way.

Writing a high-catching title is no easy task even for the seasoned professional writer. However, it is none the less crucial to drawing traffic to your website. As someone looks through the results of any search engine search, while there is information about that page, the first thing anyone does is looks at the title.

A badly written title no matter how good the information is will be often over-looked. It is the high-catching title that get the most attention. Titles which control the reader are the only way to go. If you were looking up a particular product and you saw the words, “SCAM”, “DON’T” or “STOP”, you are immediately drawn to these as the appear to be urgent and these words will play on one’s fears or doubts. At this time we suggest to avoid the word SCAM becouse it is misused and it’ll not give you any benefit.

At the same time, a visitor to your website wants to get the most relevant information possible, with the least amount of work. This is why “Top 5”, “Top 10” or “Top 100” titles have been proven to work consistently. However, it is very important to point out that in using one of these titles you have to include the entire list. If a visitor clicks on your link through the search engines because yours states the “Top 100”, only to arrive and find a partial list, well then the chances of them continuing on to read the remainder of the list, or even return to your website again will reduce.

Your visitors have expectations and when they arrive to your site to find those expectations unmet, then it is no better then having an awful title. Start with the article or post first, then after it has been completed do you come up with a high-catching title for it. The title needs to match the information, but also needs to show some form of urgency or be considered highly informative.

One of the biggest misunderstandings today is that there is some kind of difference between being search engine friendly and being for the readers. This is a fallacy as most of the major search engines see the two as one in the same. A site which is overly optimized for the search engines but contains very little information will never do as good as a site which has relevant and informative content which has not been optimized.

It is because of this misunderstanding that people continue to ask, “How to write an article for readers but is also search engine friendly?” Your ultimate goal should not be about Search Engine Optimization, but rather writing articles, that you can use also for your Article Marketing campaign, containing unique and factual information that your readers will want to read.

Think of it as a balanced equation. You see, all too often webmasters focus on the heuristics of the search engines instead of the visitors to the site. They over-work themselves in an attempt to beat the complicated algorithms. This would be an impossibility and a large waste of time. There are millions of variables in the search engine ranking systems, which are used for one purpose and one purpose only; to do the work for you.

The term Search Engine Optimization has also been extremely construed over recent years too. All it takes is a simple glance at the term to understand its meaning. The goal of optimizing for a search engine is doing nothing more then making it easier for the search engine spiders to access and index your page in the manner that you would like it to be done.

Always remember to put the readers first. SEO should always be an afterthought. If you place the readers first you will always win. A clean and naturally written article will always prevail over a carefully calculated one which is only written as a means of improving the site’s rank.
